Terms and Conditions
We aim to satisfy your expectation of a good online experience. Following are our Terms and Conditions of Trade. If you have questions relating to these, you may email us without personal information.
Ordering Online
When you select items for purchase our system automatically calculates the value of the goods and their weight. You can check the total and shipping charges by viewing the Checkout page. When satisfied, submit the order. If you choose not to proceed immediately, the system will remember your order so you can restore at a later date without need to re-enter.
Prices & Currency
All product prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (A$) excluding GST (Australia only)
Purchasers outside Australia will not be charged GST tax on goods or shipping costs.
Billing
All products are billed in Australian Dollars (A$). When your order is finalised you will be sent a confirmation email automatically. Please reference the order number in all correspondence.
Payment Methods
There are three methods of payment available to online purchasers.
1. Credit Card
We accept only MasterCard and Visa credit cards. If you pay by credit card, your account will be charged in A$. Compact Desk.com uses secure transaction technology* provided by our bank, the ANZ Bank. We do not process your credit card payment, this is done directly by the bank in their secure zone when you submit your payment details. Your credit card number is not disclosed to Compact Desk, only the bank sees this. *compactdesk.com uses ANZ eGate Secure Payment System.
2. Cheque - (Australia Only)
If you choose to forward a cheque, it must be payable to Compact Desk Design in Australian Dollars (A$). Please email us to inform of this choice, Your order will only be confirmed when matched with receipted payment. Postal address is listed on contact page.
3. Direct Deposit or TT
If you choose to make a direct deposit, it must be payable to Compact Desk Design in Australian Dollars (A$) You must email us for our bank account details. Please email notification following this payment option so we can prepare your order during processing.
Payment Terms
Full payment must be made before goods are shipped.
If you pay by credit card this will occur immediately your order is submitted and goods will be dispatched forthwith.
Paying by cheque, we will allocate your order for 7 days but will not ship until cheque is received. This also applies to Direct Deposit or TT.
General Terms & Conditions
This Website is owned by Compact Desk Design (CDD) (A division of Kahn Australia Pty Ltd ABN 76 088 284 075) These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Website, the information contained therein and services accessed via the site. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, do not visit or use the site.

Compact Desk, its representatives or agents are not liable to you or any other person for any loss in connection with the use of this site. Best effort is made to provide reliable information but no responsibility is assumed as to the accuracy of the information on this site. CDD disclaims any implied or express warranties or conditions of any kind, including warranties of fitness for purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property rights relating to information accessible on this site, except that described under Warranty. CDD shall not be liable to you for any damages whatsoever including, but not limited to, special, indirect, consequential or incidental damages, and including, but not limited to, damages resulting from use of or reliance on the products or information presented on this site, loss of profits or revenues, business interruption, loss of programs or other data on your information systems.
Definitions
The Terms and Conditions are effective until terminated Compact Desk Design.
For the purpose of these Terms & Conditions the terms CDD means Compact Desk Design, site means Compact Desk.com
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws in force in New South Wales and the Commonwealth of Australia.
Rights
Trademarks appearing on this site are the property of their respective owners. CDD makes no claim of right, representation or ownership where not applicable.
Examples shown on this site are solely to illustrate capabilities of Compact Desk and various creative options possible. CDD acknowledges contributions to these examples by clients, their designers and creative consultants and makes no claim of right, representation or ownership where not applicable.
